GLOBAL CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER, GENERAL MOTORS
Norm de Greve was appointed senior vice president and chief marketing officer in July 2023.
As GM’s global chief marketing officer, Norm will lead GM’s marketing efforts during a critical period of transformation. It is a shift from a reliance on traditional marketing, creating a marketing and messaging strategy that drives GM’s leadership position in electrification and autonomous driving and builds demand for our soon-to-launch electric vehicle models and top selling trucks and SUVs in today’s competitive market.
De Greve joined GM from CVS Health, where he served as chief marketing officer from 2015-2023. Prior to joining CVS Health, de Greve worked at digital marketing firm Digitas in a variety of positions from 2001-2014, including serving as president of the Boston and Detroit offices, where he spent multiple years working to advance digital marketing for GM. He spent the first decade of his career in investment management and management consulting.
De Greve has been recognized by Fast Company as one of the Most Creative People in Business, by Business Insider as one of the Most Innovative CMOs in The World and he has also earned an Emmy Award.
De Greve graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics from Ithaca College and an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
LISA MATERAZZO
GLOBAL CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER, FORD MOTOR COMPANY
Lisa Materazzo joined Ford in September 2023 as global chief marketing officer, reporting to President and CEO Jim Farley.
Materazzo leads advanced product planning and marketing activities across all three customer-centered business groups: Ford Blue, Ford Model e and Ford Pro. She also oversees Ford Performance, the company's high-performance motorsports and racing division, and the Lincoln luxury-vehicle business. Prior to coming to Ford, Materazzo was group vice president, Toyota Marketing - the top North America marketing executive at that company, where she spent 20 years over two tours. She led disciplines including market planning, advertising, digital platforms, experiential marketing, motorsports and the Toyota Dealer Association.
On Materazzo's watch, Media Post in 2023 recognized Toyota as "Automotive Marketer of the Year" for its strategic consistency and innovation in the midst of market disruption. She championed consolidation of customer communications across the enterprise to create a seamless, connected experience. Additionally, Materazzo helped the company use award-winning approaches to increase its appeal to African-, Hispaic- and Asian-American customers.
Materazzo led marketing for Toyota's Lexus and Scion brands during pivotal periods in their expansions. Earlier in her career, Materazzo directed automotive marketing for AOL/Verizon.
Materazzo's passion for automobiles and motorsports traces to her growing up in Upstate New York, near the famed Watkins Glen International Raceway. She learned to drive in a 1981 Ford Mustang Cobra. She is a graduate of Binghamton University in Binghamton, N.Y.; from which she holds bachelor's and master's degrees in marketing.
LUCY MCLELLAN
SVP, GLOBAL MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS, JEEP BRAND
Lucy McLellan, appointed SVP of Global Jeep Marketing & Communications in February 2022, reports to Jeep Brand CEO Antonio Filosa.
McLellan is responsible for the expansion and globalization of the Jeep® brand across six regions and over 140 markets – developing the marketing strategy during the most transformative time for the brand as it evolves with the application of electrification and advanced technologies.
McLellan recently led the Jeep brand's team's global marketing and communications efforts for its 2023 Super Bowl commercial, "Electric Boogie." The spot, which put a spotlight on the Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe, the top two best-selling PHEVs in the U.S, was named by the Associated Press as “one of the year's best Super Bowl commercials.” Additional accolades include the PR News “Media Event of the Year” for “Jeep 4xe Day” in 2022.
McLellan relocated to the U.S. from Australia in 2022, where she was the VP of Communications – Asia Pacific & China for all Stellantis brands and previously, Head of Jeep Marketing, Public Relations, and Customer Experience for the Asia Pacific Region. McLellan joined Stellantis (previously FCA) in 2012. Prior to Stellantis, McLellan worked at the BMW Group in Australia in product and public relations roles.
RACHAEL ZALUZEC
CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER & SVP, CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE & BRAND MARKETING, VOLKSWAGEN OF AMERICA
Zaluzec studied Telecommunications Management at Ball State University and holds an MBA from Capella University.
In 2008, she began her direct tenure at Volkswagen in Human Resources in Herndon, Virginia. She soon transitioned to a role leading Group Customer Relations, based in Auburn Hills, Michigan, where the majority of Volkswagen’s customer-facing functions are located.
Over the course of the next 12 years, Zaluzec took on roles of increasing responsibility in the areas of Customer Support and Management, CRM, Loyalty, Customer Journey Development, Customer Data Governance and Customer Digital Strategy.
In January 2023, Zaluzec was appointed to Chief Marketing Officer & SVP Customer Experience & Brand Marketing for Volkswagen of America.
