2019-2020 COMMITTEES

This committee coordinates several annual programs and events for Adcraft members as well as college students. This committee also oversees the annual awarding of Adcraft Scholarship Fund scholarships given to deserving students at Michigan colleges and universities studying advertising or a related field.
Started in 1965, ADvance is a ten-week program in the spring where young professionals are exposed to different aspects of the industry, with practitioners providing a comprehensive overview of their area of expertise.

Executive Learning Series (ELS) take place opportunistically, and are designed to keep Adcraft members ahead of the curve with respect to new marketing trends and technologies.
Since 2001, Adcraft has awarded over $300,000 in scholarships to the next generation of advertising leaders. Applications become available at AdCon in November and are accepted through Q1.  Evaluation and awards take place in Q2.

Now in its 27th year, AdCon is a one-day conference in the fall where several hundred college students and young professionals learn about the industry and discover a variety of career options. Net proceeds go to the Adcraft Scholarship Fund.

This committee identifies prominent guest speakers for Adcraft programs secured through partnerships with clients, media agencies and publishers. Past programs have included Ford Day, GM Day, FCA Day, and Quicken Loans Day.

This committee is responsible for developing a comprehensive sales and sponsorship strategy across all Adcraft programs/events, including developing leads and ongoing outreach.

These sub-committees handle several major events designed to foster involvement and camaraderie among our members. Responsibilities include the organization, promotion and execution of the events including securing sponsors.
Adcraft's Oktoberfest party has taken over Dick O' Dow's for the last 13 years. This fun evening of networking features authentic German food, beer, music and more! This event takes place in October.
April Foolishness

Adcraft’s annual April Foolishness silent auction is a great night of food, fun and deals on amazing auction items. All proceeds from the event benefit Adcraft Detroit educational, social and philanthropic programs.

Day Show

A day of inspiration, education and provocation. The Day Show happens in June and consist of a unique collection of speakers, sharing their remarkable insights and stories of success and failure (and the need for both), and how shaking things up often requires more than a delicate touch.

Adcraft's premier golf outing, Adcrafest, will takes place in June at the Detroit Golf Club. This annual sell-out event offers two AM scramble rounds, one on the North Course and one on the South Course.
Summer in the D

This annual sell-out event is not only a great party and networking opportunity with Detroit's advertising influencers and thought leaders, but all proceeds go to the Adcraft Scholarship Fund for college scholarships awarded to Michigan college students studying advertising or a related field. It's an evening cruise on the Detroit River aboard the luxurious Ovation Yacht complete with live music, strolling supper and open bar all while supporting an important cause.
