Don’t Wait Until Fall to Become a Part of Adcraft Bowling’s 102nd Season!

Paul Gross - 7/24/2026

By Adcrafter Paul Gross

Last year, two agencies contacted me about having a team in the historic Adcraft Bowling League, but it was too late…either it was past the deadline to enter a team, or they didn’t have enough time to get their team together.

So NOW is the time to start asking around at work (clients, friends and family are welcome, too).  We currently bowl on Tuesday nights at Hartfield Lanes in Berkley, and next season will begin on Tuesday, September 15th.  Lanes are turned on for warm-up at 6:45 p.m., and we start bowling for score at 7:00 p.m.  Each team can have up to eight people on their roster, but only four bowl on any given night which gives you great flexibility to rotate people who don’t want to bowl every week.  And yes, both men and women are welcome.

The weekly bowling cost is only $20 per person (plus a few dollars if you need to rent bowling shoes), which includes money directed into the league prize fund – every team gets some prize money back at the end of the season based upon how many points you win.  Since we are an officially sanctioned league, every bowler must pay a national sanction fee of $30 the first night they bowl, which sanctions them for the entire season.  And here’s the best news of all:  while we have a $100 team entry fee, that fee is waived the first year for any new teams sponsored by an Adcraft member or agency!

Finally, it is important to know that Adcraft Bowling is a handicap league.  This means that extra pins are given each game to the lower bowling average team.  So, winning games is all about bowling more over your team average than your opponent.  For example, let’s say my average is 205 and your average is 105.  If you bowl a 120 game and I bowl a 210 game, you’ve done better than me.  The handicap levels the playing field between the lower and higher average teams.

If you are interested in having more fun than is typically allowed under Michigan law, then drop me an email at paulg@GrossWeather.com with any questions.  Ideally, I need your team roster emailed to me prior to the annual preseason league meeting on Tuesday, August 18th at Hartfield Lanes (6:30 p.m.).

Come be a part of our 102nd season and be a part of Adcraft history!
